About the UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions
UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions has a 35 year history and reputation of providing quality education for entry level allied health professions and advanced education for health providers to move our graduate into specialty and advanced practice roles. We are the largest of the UMDNJ's eight schools with more than 35 programs ranging from post high school through post- doctoral level education. Our presence in Newark, Scotch Plains, Piscataway, and Stratford campuses depicts the character of UMDNJ as a statewide resource for education, health care, research and community service. Our commitment to deliver quality allied health education through web-based technologies has expanded our scope nationally. Today more than 1/3 of our students are allied health professionals taking courses and earning a degree online.
UMDNJ-SHRP strives to meet the emerging health care workforce needs. Our mission is to educate students to become socially responsible health professionals who will function competently, creatively and collaboratively in a dynamic health care environment. The philosophy of the UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions is that quality health care, education, practice and research as a community effort.
