Procedure 8: Accessing UMDNJ’s WebCT Orientation
Instructions:The WebCT Orientation will help you become more familiar with using WebCT for all of your online academic courses. It is only recommended that you complete it, however, if you plan to take an online course. You have the option to skip this step, if you'd like. 1. It is highly suggested that you go through the WebCT Orientation to better familiarize yourself with WebCT and all of its functions. Before you can see the orientation you must self-register for it. You should start off at the Courses list page of WebCT. If you’re not there but are in WebCT, click the myWebCT link located on the very top of the screen. If you’re not logged into WebCT, login now and the Courses page will be the first thing you see. 2. To begin, you must locate the Institutional Bookmarks list located on the right side of the screen. Underneath it, find the WebCT Orientation link, which is red. Click it to add the course. 3. Select SHRP for the Primary School or Unit and select Student for your Status. 4. Click Continue. 5. Click Return to my WebCT. Now you are able to view the orientation whenever you want by clicking the Orientation to WebCT link which is located under the Courses list on the left side of the screen.
