Teresa Marsico, a long time faculty member of SHRP and past president of the American College of Nurse Midwives remained active in issues relating to women? health until her recent passing. Ms. Marsico was dedicated to the care of women and their babies, and was especially dedicated to the healthcare needs of the poor. She was nationally and internationally respected as an educator and a champion of women s health.

Ms. Marsico designated in her will, that a significant portion of her estate be used to establish a fund to support the the education of others interested in studies within SHRP? Nurse Midwifery program.
