Integrity
Adherence to moral and ethical principles;
soundness of moral character; honesty(dictionary.com).
Allied Health professionals are involved with the delivery of health or related services pertaining to the identification, evaluation and prevention of diseases and disorders. At UMDNJ-SHRP, we embrace the core principles of academic integrity which creates a foundation for success in all of life's endeavors. Integrity in academic settings is a fundamental component of success and growth in the classroom and in the clinical environment. It prepares students for personal and professional challenges, as well as, providing a blueprint for future fulfillment and success.
Why is Academic Integrity Important to you (Students)?
The most important reason why students should strive to be a persons of integrity is that all human relationships, which is the very fabric of society, is based on one’s ability to trust one another -- and this, in turn is based on honesty. The "bottom line" value that operates independently, is fairness. When students cheat, they gain a short-term advantage over their peers, and that is not fair. Acts of academic dishonesty undermines the learning process and it is a disadvantage to students who earn credit honestly. Quite simply, educational objectives cannot be meaningfully fulfilled without strict adherence to the standards of academic integrity.

SHRP Celebrates 2012 Allied Health Week throughout November
PRESENTED BY THE OFFICE OF STUDENT AND ALUMNI AFFAIRS
THEME: “Embracing a Culture of Academic Integrity”

In light of the devastations and effects of super storm Sandy, the SHRP Office of Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA) realizes that over the next few weeks much effort of the programs will be devoted to making up the time lost in the classroom and clinic. To allow for the time needed by the programs, OSAA has decided to cancel all scheduled in person Allied Health Week/Month celebrations.
However, our theme of “Embracing the Culture of Academic Integrity” will be provided through an online presentation that we believe all students and faculty will enjoy.
Please see the list of cancelled events below:
