The goals of the program are to:
Assist in achieving the health work force needs of the State; Promote the concept of the health care team as essential to patient well-being; Assist in creating a health work force that has ethnic and gender diversity; Promote a broadly trained health practitioner who will meet the needs for future new health professionals; Provide students with a strong foundation in science, communication, and the health care system; Enhance quality high school to college articulation.
The program exists between participating high schools and UMDNJ-SHRP. Interested students should inquire with their high school administration to learn if their schools participate in the program.
