Qualifying Exam

The PhD Qualifying examination is offered two times each year once during the Fall session (second half of the semester) and the other during the Spring session (second half of the semester). Details on the venue and time of the upcoming examination are provided in here.

Please note that the Examination consists of two parts:

• Part 1: consists of questions from the CORE courses in the PhD requirements for graduation
• Part 2: consists of a Take-Home Component involving a Review / Research paper the details of which will be informed on the day of the examination.

Colloquium

The PhD Colloquium is conducted two times each year once during the Fall session (typically second half of the semester) and the other during the Spring session (typically second half of the semester). All PhD students are required to attend this event.
