The Vascular Sonography Program is located on the Scotch Plains campus. It is a full-time (5 days/week) fifteen month program starting in September which covers both clinical and didactic instruction on the non-invasive diagnosis of vascular diseases utilizing ultrasound. The course of study includes vascular anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, ultrasound physics and Instrumentation, surgical and medical therapeutics for vascular diseases, and applied sonography. Techniques in diagnostic testing are taught in the classroom but require extensive clinical practice. Technical skills are only developed through direct patient testing. Our view is that this clinical phase is critical to the success of our graduates. It is a large and very important component of our instruction, reinforced by experienced vascular technologists in active vascular laboratories in hospitals affiliated with the program.
The Vascular Sonography Program offers 4 educational options based on an applicant's prior educational history. The professional curriculum is exactly the same for all options.
We invite you to look at the options below & explore our program.
