About ICAM
The Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (ICAM) is a university-wide initiative, housed in the School of Health Related Professions (SHRP). It serves as a focal point for complementary and alternative (integrative) medicine within the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
ICAM's Mission is Threefold:
EDUCATION: To be an educational resource for the University on complementary and alternative medicine, and to develop evidence-based integrative curricula and educational programs.
RESEARCH: To facilitate, conduct and obtain support for high quality basic and clinical research in complementary and alternative medicine.
CLINICAL: To support the integration of evidence-based complementary and alternative therapies and medicine into clinical settings.

Executive Director to led the UMDNJ Institute for Complementary and Alternative
Medicine (ICAM). Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree, a strong
track record of scholarship and history of peer-reviewed extramural funding.
