Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to reflect major areas of study important in the preparation of community counselors with expertise in working with individuals with disabilities in the community. The curriculum is designed to reflect the accreditation standards of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE).

As part of the curriculum, all students complete a Practicum and an Internship to practice and integrate counseling skills learned in coursework. With the permission of their agencies and of the Program Director for the M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling, Community Counseling Track students employed in relevant settings may complete these experiences at their agency job sites.
Number of Credits Required:
Completing the degree requires a total of 51 credits. This can be completed in two years of full time study or three years of part time study. This includes study in the summer as certain courses are offered only in the summer semester.
