Associate of Science Degree in Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Program Overview
Psychiatric rehabilitation practitioners provide services and supports to people with severe mental illnesses and other disabilities, empowering them to manage their illnesses and live rewarding and productive lives in the community. To meet the demand for qualified professionals in this area, UMDNJ’s School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) now offers a full psychiatric rehabilitation career ladder-from the associate’s through the Ph.D. degree. This program will provide you with the basic skills and rehabilitation techniques to begin your career. As part of the program, you will complete two semesters of fieldwork at a community service agency.
