Certificates

The Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions in the School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) offers two undergraduate and three graduate level certificate programs. These certificate programs are provided by UMDNJ-SHRP in cooperation with UMDNJ's Center for Advanced and Continuing Education (CACE). Courses with a grade of "C" or better may be applied to our degree programs.

As a student in one of these certificate programs, you are considered a non-matriculated student. Non-matriculated status is for individuals not currently admitted to any SHRP program.  Please follow this link for more information in regards to non-matriculated status.

Persons applying for non-matriculated status shall be required to:

Other documents may be required at the discretion of the program director or the programs' admissions committee.

Financial Support: UMDNJ financial aid is not available for non-matriculated students. Payment in full is required at time of application/registration.  Payment plans are not available. Appropriate, authorized vouchers from third party payers (e.g. government agencies, employers, etc.) are accepted and must be filed with the Center for Advanced and Continuing Education office before registration deadlines.

Note: Non-matriculated students who wish to pursue a UMDNJ degree in the School of Health Related Professions may apply for admissions through the Office of Enrollment Services. Applicants are required to submit all documents required by the school and their respective programs even if some of these documents were on file during a previous non-matriculated application process. Being a non-matriculated student does not assure admission into a degree-granting program.
