Faculty Effort Report

All faculty members (except per diem* faculty) must complete a Faculty Effort Report for the period January 1 to June 30, 2008.

Kindly follow the steps below:

1. complete the online report found at: http://www2.umdnj.edu/~ppsarapp/cgi-bin/ppsar_deptadmin.pl
2. print the report
3. obtain the two (2) signatures
4. send the original copies to UMDNJ-SHRP - Faculty Affairs Office, 65 Bergen Street, SSB Rm 129, Newark, NJ 07101 BEFORE AUGUST 15TH

NOTE:
If a faculty member resigned during the reporting period a form must be completed by the supervisor. Note the reason for the lack of signature on the form.

*Per diem faculty generally have a 0.025 FTE.

Mileage Rate – Change

UMDNJ Mileage Reimbursement Rate has been increased to $0.585 per mile effective July 1, 2008.  A new mileage reimbursement schedule is available by clicking “reimbursement schedule”.

New Certificate Program in Medical Coding

UMDNJ-SHRP is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for enrollment in the Coding Certificate Program for the Fall 2008 semester. This program, which can be completed in three semesters*, is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to classify medical data from inpatient, outpatient and physician office records. Changes in reimbursement methods and an increased demand to report coded data to insurance companies has made coding a skill in high demand in all health care settings.

Federal student privacy statute (FERPA)
