Entry Level Curriculum: Year One
Therapeutic Exercise PTDR6310
This laboratory course reviews the theory and application of exercise
to the physical therapy client. Principles include openchain
vs. closedchain full arc vs. partial arc use of
equipment precautions contraindications and progression
of exercise programs. Special exercise protocols or programs
to address particular patient/client populations are also addressed.
Laboratory practice includes stretching resistive training
(manual and mechanical) isokinetics proprioceptive neuromuscular
facilitation and other exercise modalities and techniques.
