Entry Level Curriculum:Year One
Pathophysiology II – PTDR6150
This is a continuation of Pathology I‚ providing information
on orthopedic and neurological pathologies. Topics under the orthopedic
section include fracture management‚ tissue healing‚ and
review of the more common orthopedic surgeries. Pertinent radiology
is presented. Neurology topics include stroke‚ traumatic brain
injury‚ degenerative and demyelinating diseases‚ spinal
cord injury‚ peripheral nerve injuries‚ and neuromuscular
disorders. Case Studies emphasize differential diagnosis‚ basic
physical therapy intervention‚ and use of the Guide to Physical
Therapy. (3 credits) |
