Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation PTDR6330
This course describes the cardiopulmonary system and the pathological
conditions of these systems encountered by the physical therapist
during patient care. Understanding of ECG stress testing
pulmonary function tests and clinical laboratory tests in the development
of therapeutic programs is stressed. Emphasis is placed on
the examination evaluation diagnosis prognosis
intervention and outcomes for patients with CP pathology. Instruction
is provided on physical therapy intervention within various settings
such as intensive care and rehabilitation and for various
populations such as neonatal and geriatric. (3 credits)
