Entry Level Curriculum: Year Two

Pharmacology – PTDR7170

This course presents a description of the most commonly used pharmacologic agents seen in physical therapy practice. The basic principles of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics‚ along with pertinent physiology and information on dosing schedules‚ therapeutic effects‚ and adverse reactions are presented. Special emphasis is placed on the relationship between exercise and drug effects. (2 credits)
