OVERVIEW
These five web-based learning modules will describe evidence-based practice and its importance for clinical decision-making. It does so using an interactive approach with audio narration, video clips, practical examples, and self-assessments embedded within each module. The concepts covered in the modules include answering clinical questions using efficient literature search strategies, critically reviewing/reading research articles, and locating the best research resources and electronic databases available to the clinician.
How is this different from the American Dietetic Association’s Evidence Analysis Library tutorials?
In addition to critically reviewing research articles, The UMDNJ CPE Modules outline specific online evidence-based resources that health professionals can readily access as well as view audioclips as to the best way to search databases like PubMed for the most relevant research to their practice.
You can complete these modules at your own pace and they will be available to you until June 19, 2009.
