Requirements
Students from collaborating NJ Colleges and Universities seeking admission to the Cytotechnology Program as the professional component of the joint Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (BS in CLS) degree program click here for admission details.
All other applicants must meet the following requirements:
Possess a baccalaureate degree from a US accredited academic institution. If the baccalaureate degree is from a foreign country, then it must be evaluated as equivalent with a US baccalaureate degree.
Complete the required basic science prerequisite courses listed below:
Cell Biology
(3-4 credits)
Anatomy and Physiology
(8 credits)
Microbiology
(3 credits)
General Chemistry
(8 credits)
Organic Chemistry
(3-4 credits)
Biochemistry
(3-4 credits)
Statistics
(3 credits)
Precalculus or Calculus
(3 credits)
Survey courses in these sciences do not meet the requirement.
Achieve an overall grade point average of 2.75(A=4.0) and grades of C or better in all required science courses.
Achieve
a minimum of 550 (written),
213 (electronic) or 79/80
(internet-based) on the
TOEFL exam (Test of English
as a Foreign Language),
if the applicant's native
language is not English.
Complete an interview with the Cytotechnology Program Director.
