BSHS Coordinated Dietetics Program
Coordinated Dietetic Program Curriculum
The BSHS Coordinated Dietetics program is a part time (3-11 semester credit) or full time (12 or more semester credits) Program. A student may take up to eight (8) years to complete the degree. The average time to complete the program is approximately three and one half (3.5) years.
Each student receives an individualized program plan that not only meets the requirements of the Program but also their lifestyle needs. A curriculum, with UMDNJ-SHRP and TESC courses provides all didactic requirements through distance learning. All advisement and registration is through UMDNJ-SHRP including the TESC courses.
The UMDNJ-SHRP Coordinated Dietetic Program requirements consist of:
- UMDNJ-SHRP 4 nutritionally related science courses (17 credits)
- UMDNJ-SHRP 6 dietetic/nutrition concentration courses (16 credits)
- UMDNJ-SHRP 4 clinical internship rotation courses (10 credits)
- UMDNJ-SHRP 5 interdisciplinary core courses (15 credits)
- TESC 12 credits or more of general education credits including but not limited to: microeconomics, accounting, statistics and other general education needed.

*TESC Requirements
Students in the joint UMDNJ/TESC Program are required to take a minimum of 12 liberal arts or elective credits through TESC. Please note although these courses are taught through TESC, the student registers through UMDNJ-SHRP. For joint program registration procedures link here:

Computer Literacy Requirements
Since SHRP offers Web courses, you are required to be computer literate upon enrollment in the program. Literacy requirements can be found at: http://www.umdnj.edu/webctweb/skills.html
