Financial Aid

All financial aid matters affecting DPT students are handled by the Office of Financial Aid , Rutgers , The State University of New Jersey, 311 North Fifth Street , Camden , NJ 08102-1405 (856) 225-6039

Scholarship funds for physical therapy students are limited. Financial aid in the form of loans and work study assistance is available to qualified students. All students are encouraged to seek independent funding sources for graduate study.

The American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) Information Central Office maintains a current listing of scholarships that are available along with other financial aid resources. Click here to access the student resources page of the APTA..

Some facilities offer tuition reimbursement for physical therapy students who contract to provide a specified amount of service after graduation. Contact the facility for further information.

A Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) must be filed by March 15 of the year of matriculation in order for students to be considered for financial aid. In addition, the Rutgers-Camden Financial Aid forms must be completed and submitted by the identified deadlines of the Financial Aid Office. In general, a copy of the student's, spouse's, and/or parent's (for dependent students) federal income tax return for the last taxable year is required.

Foreign students must show proof of financial independence to Rutgers Graduate Admissions Office prior to acceptance into the program.
