Dr. Joe Schwenkler became the full-time
Medical Director in July, 2006. He has over 20 years of clinical experience
starting and managing the Pleasant Run Family Physicians near Flemington,
NJ. He has been an avid proponent for the PA profession and was one of the
first doctors in New Jersey to hire PAs. He has also served as preceptor for
many of our students over the past 20 years.
He was elected to the AOA Medical Honor
society as a junior medical student, and was awarded the Mead Johnson Award
for excellence as a third year resident. He is a certified geriatrician.
His other interests include information
technology and he was one of the earliest physicians to implement a computerized
health record in 199 4.
His teaching responsibilities include
Anatomy, Biochemistry, Neuroanatomy, Clinical Clerkship seminar and Clinical
Medicine.
