Matriculated students register through the My.UMDNJ web portal and receive their web registration PIN from Enrollment Services by either e-mail and mail. Students matriculating in Clinical Nutrition programs will receive their PIN from either their academic advisor or the program director.

Block-Registering Students

Some programs at SHRP are considered “Block Registered” meaning your courses are mapped out for you from your first semester of enrollment to your last. If you are in one of these programs, you will be automatically registered for your courses by Enrollment Services. If you are not sure if your program is Block Registration, please contact Enrollment Services at (973) 972-5454 or your Program Director/Advisor.

Traditional Registering Students (Non Block Registered Students)

Traditional Registering Students are required to register on-line though the My.UMDNJ portal (students submitting paper registrations (via fax, mail or hand delivered) will be charged a $50 registration fee).

The on-line student information system allows you to register on-line, drop and add courses on-line, view the most recent course catalog and your course schedule, check your grades, financial aid status as well as your account balance.

Click here to access the My.UMDNJ portal.

Students registering online must obtain a web registration PIN through either Enrollment Services or their Program Director/Advisor (see below for details).

Registration PIN Distribution (Based upon Program)

Students will receive their web registration PIN via their UMDNJ e-mail account as well as through a letter send to their mailing address approximately one week before the start of Priority Registration. Program Directors will also receive a listing on web registration PINs for students in their programs.

New incoming students will either have their PINs mailed to them upon completing their Admissions requirements or will receive a letter stating students should contact their Program for their Registration PIN (specific letter will be based on the student’s program)

Current students returning from a Leave of Absence or Maintaining Matriculation should contact their program to become reactivated. The Program should then submit a “Change of Student Status” form reactivating the student. Registration PINs will be sent to the student or to the Program.

* If you have not received your Registration PIN by the opening of Priority Registration, please contact Enrollment Services at (973) 972-5454 or your Program Director/Academic Advisor.

Students should consult with their Program Director/Advisor to discuss course selection for upcoming terms.

Matriculated students may also submit a Course Registration Form (pdf) to Enrollment Services. Students submitting this form are charged a $50 registration processing fee.

Fax form to: (973) 972-7463 or

Mail or Hand Deliver form to:
Office of Enrollment Services
65 Bergen Street, Room 147
Newark, NJ 07101-1709

Registration form should be submitted to Enrollment Services no later than the end of the regular registration period to avoid assessment of a late fee.

Non-Matriculated Students

Submit a Non-Matriculated Status Course Registration form. This
application is for individuals not currently admitted to any SHRP program.
Non-matriculants may take up to 12 credits of course work and are not
considered to be pursuing an institutional credential (degree).

Persons applying for Non-Matriculation status shall be required to complete the "Non-Matriculated Status Course Registration (pdf) ", submit appropriate health documents, and pay a processing fee. Other documents may be required at the discretion of the program director or the programs' admissions committee. For online registration please click here.

Non-Matriculated students may apply for admissions through the Office of Enrollment Services by submitting all application documents required by the school and their respective programs. Being a Non-matriculated student does not assure admission into a program.
