Project Live, Inc. is a private non-profit agency that provides a wide range of rehabilitation, support and vocational services to adult mental health consumers from Essex County, New Jersey.   Currently we are seeking two candidates for full time employment within our agency.  

 

Residential Counselor

Evenings 3pm-11pm  

F/T position to provide ADL skills training, supportive counseling, treatment planning and group facilitation.   Requires an AS degree in Psychology or related field + 2 yrs experience, 1 yr. w/ MICA pop.   BA/BS preferred w/ 1 yr. MICA experience.

 

Supportive Housing Counselor  

F/T position to provide counseling, crisis management and support services to clients living in the community. Req.: BA/BS in psych or related field or AA/AS with 2 years of relevant exp.

Supportive Services Worker  
Join our service team providing supportive housing services to our tenants diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Help support them be successful in their independent living situations. Assist program residents' re-establish valued social roles in the community.   Work in a variety of ways to promote self-sufficiency.

PART TIME PROGRAM SERVICES COORDINATORS

PLAN/NJ (Planned Lifetime Assistance Network of New Jersey, Inc.), a unique not-for-profit organization that provides solutions to families concerned about the lifetime care and quality of life for a loved one with a severe chronic disability or mental illness has immediate part- time positions available providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or serious mental illness.  

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred; experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental llness

Energetic and motivated; ability to work independently with flexible hours Excellent written and organizational skills; computer literate

Willingness to travel with valid driver's license

Responsibilities 

Provide direct social services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness; including personal visits, coordination of services, and advocacy for additional and improved services as outline in consumer. Care/PLANWork with human service case managers, residential and vocational program taff and other service providers as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Communicate with family members as needed regarding status and progress of their family member and   provide or assist enrolled families with emergency response, crisis management and negotiating the appropriate service system as needed.

Maintain client files and appropriate documentation of activities .
