Tom Bartholomew MA , has
worked with individuals with chronic and persistent mental
illness for 20 years. He began his career in a Clubhouse Model
program eventually becoming the coordinator of residential
treatment in UBHC Clubhouse program. Tom has been the director
of a partial care program in NJ which developed of Clubhouse
hybrid model and ran specialized programs for individuals
with developmental disabilities as well as Mental Illness.
Tom is now on the faculty of UMDNJ's Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Department where he teaches classes in psychiatric rehabilitation
and works in a consultative capacity with Trenton Psychiatric
Hospital in New Jersey. Tom has previously been a UMD member
of a clinical affiliation project with both Ancora and Greystone
Psychiatric hospitals . He has specifically consulted with
the staff at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital on their Specialized
MI/DD unit and with staff a Greystone on intervention strategies
with patients who have cognitive impairments.
